Suzanne Rogers Designer Maker

Suzanne Rogers is an Irish Artist based in Dublin. She holds an MA in Design (Metals) and a BDes in Metals from the National College of Art & Design. In 2005 she studied Engraving and Enamelling in Ecole Boulle in Paris as part of her degree. Suzanne teaches Metals and Art in Inchicore College of Further Education, Dublin. In 2013 Suzanne was selected to participate in Hothouse, a programme of business support and creative development for emerging makers, from the Crafts Council of England.


In 2012 Rogers was awarded a Leonardo Da Vinci PLM Work Placement Bursarie towards a three-month Blacksmithing placement under Will Barker and Shelly Thomas at The Forge, Kew Bridge Museum, London, UK.


Her collection of Damascus steel art jewellery was merited with a Training Grant Awards from the Crafts Council of Ireland in 2012. 2008 Royal Dublin Society National Crafts Competition, Suzanne won first prize in the Gold, Silver & Alternative Materials category.


Rogers participated as an apprentice Blacksmith in the Television series Craft Master - the search for Ireland’s newest craft talent, 2011.


Her work has been exhibited both in Ireland and Europe.
